Feline Adoptions!

PetSmart-Brandywine

Wilmington, DE
(302) 475-0618

Founded in 1957, Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s premiere nonprofit no kill animal shelter and adoption center, serving a four state area. We are committed to providing for the needs of homeless and owned dogs and cats in our community.

Serving over 5,000 companion animals annually through direct intervention and many more through advocacy, we continue to promote the humane values of protection, care, and compassion for all living things. We envision a future where all people and their pets live healthy, happy and long lives together. http://www.dehumane.org/site/PageServer?pagename=availablepets

At Forgotten Cats, our mission is to reduce the unwanted cat population without killing and to stop the suffering of the thousands of kittens born to abandoned, homeless cats.

We do this by working with colony caretakers to trap, sterilize, vaccinate, and return every cat within a colony. We provide the necessary medical treatment for sick or injured feral cats, stray cats, and kittens. We are working to find homes for adoptable cats and kittens. We also provide education about spay neuter, and we are assisting other cat rescue groups with trap, neuter, and return programs.

Special holiday adoption hrs at Petsmart. Also, pls call or visit Delaware Humane and/or Forgotten Cats if you see a pet you are interested in.

We are group of animals here at the Delaware SPCA that have made this “temporary” housing facility our home for 6 months or longer. We know our permanent families and companions are out there. Please spend some time getting to know us, and maybe fall in love! Unsure of the long term commitment? We can be fostered to be sure we are the right match for you!

University of Delaware

The Vegetarian Students Association at the University of Delaware organizes and holds social events, such as delicious vegetarian feasts ( sometimes free and always reduced priced!), group trips out of town and anything else our members can think of to make being a vegetarian at UD more fun .In addition, the VSA invites guest speakers to discuss issues related to Vegetarianism and/or the animal rights movement. These speeches are designed to be open to the entire University community and to serve as forums for intellectual discussion of the principles and ethics of Vegetarianism.  Website http://udvsa.webs.com/  Contact us http://udvsa.webs.com/contactus.htm

About University of Delaware: Thomas Jefferson once described Delaware as a "jewel" among states due to its strategic location on the East Coast, halfway between Washington, D.C., and New York City. Today, however, the location of Delaware's flagship university increasingly is invoked as "halfway between Los Angeles and London."

In addition to our Georgian-inspired main campus in Newark, Delaware, UD has locations across the state--in Wilmington, Dover, Georgetown and Lewes. A thriving study-abroad program and expanding international partnerships further enhance our students' education as global citizens.

           DAWG Adoptions
Delaware
Our Mission is to measurably improve the lives of unwanted domestic animals and to prevent their needless suffering and death; to increase public awareness of the plight of these animals; to rescue, maintain and place animals abandoned to kill-shelters and discarded by volume breeders; and finally, to educate the public about the social issues associated with pet overpopulation and the benefits of spaying and neutering their pets.   See our available loving pets! http://www.daawgs.org/animals/browse

DAAWG and all the homeless cats and dogs are in desperate need of wonderful foster homes. If you can find space in your heart for just one homeless pet, that's one less that will die, abandoned in a kill shelter. If you are interested in providing a loving foster home for a dog or cat - please contact us! A dog or cat will owe their life to you.

All applications must be screened and approved prior to placement. We thank you for your understanding.   daawgsinc@yahoo.com
